The primary purposes for which the International Neuro-Linguistic Programming Association was formed are:
Establish a code of ethics for the practice of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (hereinafter "NLP").
Establish standards for certification at various levels;
Accredit the certification programs of eligible member institutes;
Work toward the establishment of NLP as a recognized profession within the public and private sectors;
Support and coordinate research in NLP and provide for the publication of research papers, studies and theses;
Provide for an association of professionals engaged in the field of NLP.
